A politician, even one newly minted telling me that “I have conservative views”, is a lot different then being a conservative. If not for immigration, he’d be sucking air in the polls with the conservative bloc.

Trump is a “no sale” for my vote. He’s just another “Queens” republican. A single issue candidate. Not conservative, not liberal. A Rudy Giuliani, Bill O’really, typical eastern republicrat running with the “r” this time...never ran for office before or even considered it, and the choice of party after Obama was easy to make. He could have gone either way..
The issue you will have to deal with if he is elected, is the other 50% of him that you have not seen. The part that his staff has probably never seen. The part that a candidate with a track record usually shows.
I see that coming, and I would much prefer to avoid it if I can.
I don’t understand the support he gets here on FR where we are supposed to be the more well read, educated, and unabashedly conservative of the entire republican voter base. But then I rarely do understand the psychology of this forum on election years. It often runs contrary to common sense or conservative doctrine..
