We have gifted and already educated Americans, but they cost more.
They should not, which is why the law, as with most laws has exploits that have not been corrected by the legislature, and I think it’s pretty clear why that has not happened.
The request for the H1B should be accompanied by a showing of need and that that need cannot be fulfilled at any price, but that is not what has happened in far too many instances...but not all.
As such I am not opposed to H1B, or any of the Visa programs as a matter of principle, but if they are mismanaged or damaging to Americans, then when this occurs and can be shown, the program should be modified or put on hiatus, or curtailed to mitigate the issue.
Easy to say..but the people we trust to oversee these programs have failed miserably to do so. However, that is not directly related to the program’s worthiness. It is a failure of our legislature in DC and just one of hundreds.
