I haze coyotes with my rifle and then we hang the carcass on the barb wire fence as a warning to the others. I don’t know if that last part works or not but people around here say it does so we do it.
***then we hang the carcass on the barb wire fence***
I remember seeing coyotes on fences all over the west up until around 1974 when the animal rights people threw a fit.
The fence I remember the most was one south of HOPE, New Mexico back in 1959, just past the HOPE trash dump. It had coyotes hanging on both sides of the gate, three or four golden eagles, and one day we went out to the dump and there was a cougar hanging on the fence.
We used the feathers from the golden eagles to fletch our home made arrows. Today, I believe that would get me several years in prison.
