Actors in adult films in California would be required to wear condoms during explicit sex scenes under a referendum that qualified for the November 2016 ballot on Wednesday. The measure, based on a similar ballot initiative that passed in Los Angeles three years ago, is backed by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, a healthcare and advocacy group devoted to preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.

What if they identify as female?
Things that don’t actively maintain their unique identities tend to become the opposite of what they started as.
They can pass all the stupid rules that they want, but they will never hold up in court.
This is an attempt to regulate vice. Such things always lead to âregulatory capture,â ultimately with the vice being run by the government.
How about a ballot initiative requiring sodomites to wear condoms? It would stop 10,000 times more AIDS cases than regulating the relatively small porn industry, which I believe frequently tests its “actors” for HIV,
Ok, I have been watching old reruns of Run For Your Life, so I know that is Ben Gazzara, but what does he have to do with this story?
Instead of suppressing pornography they worry about condoms> Lord Help Us!
WE are the fun loving hippies with the ready wit and smile.
The left are the wet-blanket squares, seething with anger, demanding conformity.
It will just create a black market thats all...
The porn company’s simply moved to a different location when LA County did it.
And you thought it was the Right that wanted to control all people’s lives. Whatever happened to ‘if they want to harm themselves, it is their right’?
Not at all defending the porn industry, BUT....
Is THIS an appropriate subject for a public plebiscite?
Gazzara played pornographer Jacky Strahorn in “TheBig Lebowski”
Why is it that men who work on screen in the adult film industry are referred to as actors in adult films.
Yet, females of the same vocation are referred to as Porn Stars?
Better: Require California politicians to wear condoms while they’re screwing taxpaying legal residents.
Nope..the industry moves to Oregon or to Nevada..
Second this is just part of the war on men. When will men stop being persecuted for just being a man. Men have the rights over their bodies and should not let the femarchy enslave them in latex for their own amusement. It is time for the social justice warriors to rise up and put an end to any requirement that would shame an erection under a burka of latex. It is time for the penises of the world to stand up proud and uncovered; to not let California keep you under wraps. Men we have the balls to oppose this f-n bill. Sure the USC Trojans getfree publicity, and the queer community might put a sock on it, if it is trendy on screen, but it is cruel abuse to suffocate an erection just because some wife swapping legislators require a cover up.
< Probably should not post such a sarcastic rant this early on the morning, but that was the morning coffee talking. Besides sometimes its just fun to be a dick and echo back liberal talking points. Stand up to oppression and all that! I personally have no opinion. I am neither prophylactic or antiphylactic I say let the flee market decide and lets keep the government out our F-n business. ;-)
That was quite an awesome red pill rant. No apologies needed.
That was proposed to homo groups in the early 80s at the onset of the AIDS epidemic...which overwhelmingingly affected male homos.
The proposal was scorned and ridiculed. The proposers were attacked for not advocating an immediate cure. There was no cure at the time, but the disease could have been stopped in its tracks (by condom use) saving the lives of thousands of people.
Which is why I look at homo advocacy groups as enemies. Many innocent people as well as careless homosexuals died because the homos refused to wear condoms.
