How badly has the Obama era damaged the Democratic party?

With the political media sorting through the meaning of last night’s electoral results, a lot of reporters paid attention today when GOP strategist Rory Cooper tweeted this:

Under President Obama, Democrats have lost 900+ state legislature seats, 12 governors, 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats. That's some legacy.

What isn’t mentioned is that to the Dems these are acceptable losses for having gone so far in locking in their agenda.

The US’s losses on Omaha Beach were atrocious. But they served a purpose and established and held the beachead. Same thing here.

The Democrat Party has been decimated and down ballot positions lost means there are fewer people to move up.

Once their policies [Demonrat policies]inflict damage on the nation, the nation comes to its senses and boots them out of office.

If so the 0bomb should have been thrown out in 2012.

Ultimately, as Brownstein says, we don't yet know how much damage the Obama era will have done to the Democratic Party, because the 2016 elections could of course leave the White House in Democratic hands and scale down the Dem losses in Congress.

My thoughts exactly.

When I saw the title, I immediately thought, “No damage at all to the party. The dems are made up of sociopathic, pathological liars, leading the blind masses of “useful idiots. Barky, Hil, Nancy, or Reed could sacrifice a human child on the White House lawn, and eating the still beating heart, on live MSM network TV, and you wouldn’t hear a peep, with the possible exception of accusing the pubbies of orchastrating a smear campaign.

And barky is working hard to do as much damage as he can in what time he has left.
