I don't know if you believe in such things, but I look at the makeup of society as those who follow the Almighty's commandments and those who don't. After all we are a nation built around those common tenants. This is our culture, any other must necessarily submit, or is solely unsuited to be allowed (i.e. Islam).

I agree, it is time to start dealing with reality. And the reality is we need to turn back to God and follow his rules on how to live together. Will we, I seriously doubt it. Otherwise we wouldn't have been forewarned of what, IMO, is just over the horizon.
