You could substitute two plates of carrots a day for the diet coke and come up with the same results.

You think our diet sodas taste bad... At EPCOT at Disney world they have a place where you can taste soda pop from all over the world. Absolutely ghastly stuff. There was one called “Beverly.” I think it was from Australia? I could be wrong. But it was just horrible. It became the joke during that trip: “Don’t drink the Beverly!”
For me, mostly water, rarely tea,gatta have 2 cups black coffee in the morning, but no sweet drinks, soda, juice, etc. I do eat fruit.
I have Diabetes type2 and I used to go to the classes that were held at BACH at Fort Campbell, KY. Our instructor told us if you have to have a small coke, it’s best to drink a regular one and not the diet. He didn’t say anything about it causing cancer.
The #1 drink at my house and probably the healthiest, is water. We use bottled water because of its convenience in cooling We have a refrigerator in our garage dedicated to bottled water and we go through it like it was...............water.
My second favorite is whole milk or Half&Half and before anybody tells me “that stuff will kill you”, know this, I’m already too old to die young. I’m just following the example set by my 95 year old mother.
When I have my cholesterol checked, my doc doesn’t tell me “it’s fine” the word he uses is “perfect” and to keep doing whatever I’m doing.
It’s in the genes.
The down side of Half&Half is that it’s around $8 per gallon.

For me, the diet sodas taste better than the sugar sodas.

Same here. I’m one of those guys you see eating a huge meal and washing it down with a Diet Coke. I’m not over weight either.

I used to drink diet sodas many years ago. I got used to them. No I don’t drink any at all and drink a regular soda like Sprite or Siera Mist on occasion
I drank 8-9 per day for 30 years (Regular, not the diet)- and I died, but took a bunch of vitamins, and now I’m fine again and drinking ore soda-
Life without soda = hell

Actually I liked Tab back when it had cyclamate in it. When I tried drinking the USA version that had Saccharin in it I thought it was awful. Then I got used to it.
I tried Tab once and that was many years ago. Yuck
I can imagine.
