"I would think that the military would be an environment in which perpetrators would be taken out and dealt with harshly, well out of the lime light."

Back in my time they used to be called, "blanket parties" in the Navy, or "code red" in the Marines. The faggots would usually leave the service after that with an Administrative or General Discharge. So I guess the elimination of "Don't Ask; Don't Tell" is not working so well? Who woulda thunk it?

Next up: Women on submarines. Talk about an environment waiting for sh*t to happen. There's probably a lawyer cottage industry just waiting to form for the sexual harassment lawsuits when some male submariner accidentally brushes against some female submariner in the confined passageways. God forbid his swaying hand accidentally brushes her thigh or butt or breast, hell, even her poor pitiful hand.

I was Aviation Navy on the flight deck and experienced other men touching me in the confines of the narrow passageways below and didn't think another thing about it. Watch many movies and the series, "Last Ship" and you can tell how small our ships are internally and it's almost impossible to not touch fellow shipmates, as much as we try. Sailors try to give what's called a "wide berth" to their fellow shipmates, but it happens.

I took a tour of an attack submarine once in San Diego. As much as I tried, I couldn't help but touch the other tour people and crew. It's unavoidable in a submarine. Maybe the large Tridents are not as big a problem, but they still have certain areas that are narrow.

Unfortunately, you and I may never hear about such bogus harassment charges because the Navy and other branches don't release such info. Still, leakers are getting better by the day.

We called them blanket parties in the Marine Corps also. That code red bullshiite came from the movie A Few Good Men.
In the 23 years I was on active duty I never once heard a blanket party called a code red. My son left active duty 5 months ago, and he will tell you the same thing.
