For some reason you want to pin the blame on Romney but even the New York Times recognizes that it was Maggie the South African who was responsible for that health care program in Massachusetts - not Romney.

And for some reason you want to minimize Romney’s role in bringing Obamacare into the world and quote the NYT as defense of your position.

You and I had no say in who are President was going to be. We live in the land of fruit and nuts in California.
If I were in a state that actually had a chance to vote in a Republican for President, I not only would have voted for him, but I would have been pounding the pavement to get others to do the same.
Choosing to stay home when they had an opportunity to prevent an evil tyrant from staying in office 4 more years was not only lazy but showed complete irresponsibility and a callous disregard for the best interests of this nation.

And I got hit by sticker shock just today on my private individual policy as it went up went up 58%. Insurance is out of control all around.
I didn’t get what I want. That’s the point. Romney was not my first choice, but he was the only choice against Obama.
He was not a true conservative, but we didn’t have a true conservative to vote for. If the only time you vote is when a true conservative is running, you’ll get the liberal almost every time.

REPUBLICANS (not to be confused with Conservatives!) have for decades now, "talked a good game" and say at every election "elect us and we'll fix this mess!"
Then what happens, the lying scum 'bitches turn around, stab their constituency and specifically THE GRASS ROOTS CONSERVATIVES who helped elect them right in the back.
They then turn around, BLAME CONSERVATIVES for their stabbing them in the back, make one excuse or another for not doing what they said they would like "Oh, we didn't mean we would ACTUALLY stop Obama! Nononononononononono!! Now we have to win the White House too!!"
People like you and I Norm, we know how the system's supposed to work. The U.S. House of Representatives holds the purse strings and writes the checks to pay the bills. At ANY TIME, Congress, or the House of Representatives ON THEIR OWN can decide to not pay for a program and kill it.
Let's take ... oh, PLANNED PARENTHOOD as one example. Former Speaker Boehner, and now Speaker Ryan can introduce a resolution to DEFUND Planned Parenthood and stop paying for it. THERE IS NOTHING THE SENATE OR OBAMA could do about it, other than whine, cry, and threaten to shut down the government.
A SMART Republican or Conservative would tell Obama, the Democrats and the Liberal Lamestream Media to go for it. Obama and the Democrats would look pretty stupid telling the American Public that because the House of Representatives exercised its CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY to stop spending taxpayer money to MURDER UNBORN CHILDREN.
BUT NO!! Boehner and now Ryan lack the MORAL COURAGE and BACKBONE to do just that. And yet, so many on here insist, no DEMAND that we pull the "R" lever each election. Where has that gotten us these last almost 7 years now? Another TEN TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT with NOTHING to show for it. That's where.
Who pays for that? The milquetoast Republicans and only those who voted for them? NO! We ALL do, and frankly it PISSES ME OFF every time some mealy mouthed PISSANT takes to their keyboard and tries telling YOU AND I we have to vote for those lying, back-stabbing scum bitches again, of they're going to call us more names.

Obamacare. The REPUBLICANS can DE-FUND Obamacare with a single resolution in the House of Representatives. Obamacare is a TAX according to the US Supreme Court which means it requires ONLY A SIMPLE MAJORITY to repeal it in both chambers of Congress.
Have we seen a vote to repeal it?
NO.
Will we?
NO. Will the US House of Representatives exercise its CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY to de-fund it by not paying for its implementation?
NO! In fact, the STUPID PARTY fully funded its implementation while at the same time telling the VOTERS during the 2014 election cycle that once voted into power, the REPUBLICAN PARTY would STOP OBAMACARE!
Again, the FILTHY LYING BASTARDS LIED to the grassroots, the Conservative base, and the AMERICAN PEOPLE, and are now saying they need the Presidency to do ANYTHING to stop Obamacare.
Norm, guys like me and you ...we've been around the block a few times. We also know how the FOUNDING FATHERS designed the three branches of Government to work, and the specific role they gave the U.S. House of Representatives to represent the will of the people THROUGH THE POWER OF THE CHECKBOOK when necessary.
And yet, Boehner and McConnell, now Ryan and McConnell REFUSE to do AS THEY PROMISED to stop Obamacare. You and I get that Norm. We know how the system was DESIGNED and how it's SUPPOSED TO WORK in the spirit of our Founding Fathers.
Pity so many others here on FR either don't know or no longer do.
I long for the days of the Class of '98 when all the members of FR understood how our system was designed to work and expressed OUTRAGE each and every time one party OR THE OTHER usurped, abrogated, surrendered or ceded by inaction their Constitutionally defined roles.
