The Royals would have won last year also, were it not for one pitcher on the Giants roster.

Shouldn't have held Gordon at third in game 7.

I agree. I wanted him to go for at the time. People say he would have been out, but it would have taken a good throw. Look at how the Giants kicked the ball around in the outfield during that triple. They were not in the condition to make a good throw. I think Hosmer’s play, forcing Duda to make a good throw, showed there was a good chance Gordon would have scored. Instead, we left it up to Perez which meant only a 25% chance of scoring. And so what if he would have been out? Wouldn’t that have been a better way to when the series than a pop-foul?

Which is why I was so happy to see Hosmer run and score. I don't care if he would have been out if Duda made a good throw. Duda didn't make a good throw and to be honest with the awful late innings defense the Mets played there was no reason to expect that he would.

Odds are, Gordon would have been out by quite a margin. Had Gordon busted it out of the box, he might have had chance. That was odd because Alex Gordon plays really hard all the time but for whatever reason he didn't hit the throttle until he was halfway to first. He didn't take off like he thought he had hit a gapper.
