Letting vets be seen by anyone who takes Medicare is meaningless if Medicare reimbursement rates stay in the gutter.

I wouldn’t call it meaningless. It’s an option veterans don’t currently have if they’re under 65.

While I agree that reimbursement rates should be adjusted to better reflect market realities, many private sector hospitals and clinics DO still accept Medicare.

There should be a balance, lower medical costs in the private sector and a more generous reimbursement menu from government AND private insurance.
