VPs don’t become prez.
Cruz is far superior in many ways. Walking encyclopedia of history, constitution, etc. His campaign seems quite well run. I heard him with my own eyes answer the why not amnesty question: It is not fair to Americans and legal immigrants.
Despite the hype he is so reasoned and reasonable when answering questions. I have heard him reframe the question before answering often.
Americans will get to see the real Cruz despite everything the GOP, Dems, and the entire media including FNC and conservative gibberish columnists, outside of talk radio. And my bet is he wins it all.
I think he would be a fool to take VP though I see why you and others say so.
A mind like his needs to be put to the best use possible. If not prez surely not VP.
Cruz needs to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The Senate would be happy to confirm just to get him out of their chambers.
Keep in mind, there's a good chance that next president will be replacing Scalia and Kennedy as well, both of whom will be 80 on election day.
VPs donât become prez.
In my life time. Truman, LBJ, Nixon, Ford and GHWB.
