Paul Singer, Influential Billionaire, Throws Support to Marco Rubio for President (GOPe is uniting)

One of the wealthiest and most influential Republican donors in the country is throwing his support to Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, a decision that could swing millions of dollars in contributions behind Mr. Rubio.

The decision by the donor, Paul Singer, a billionaire New York investor, is a signal victory for Mr. Rubio in his battle with his rival Jeb Bush for the affections of major Republican patrons and the party’s business wing.

It comes as a major blow to Mr. Bush, who is seeing his once vigorous campaign imperiled by doubts among supporters, and whose early dominance of the race was driven by his financial muscle.

“I can vote for Rubio easily.”

The first thing that Rubio would do in office is get with House Speaker Ryan and ‘finally’ get Comprehensive Immigration Reform through - thereby quickly ending our two-party system. Rubio already proved with the 2013 Amnesty push that the last people he’s willing to listen to are conservatives concerned about this country.

Hard to see how a conservative can support him, but maybe I’m missing something?
They would have amnesty bills ready before the election and Rubio would proudly sign. He will never get this vote again.

Cruz has accomplished/helped stop some bills. I am thankful he has tried. But let me get this straight, one guy going up against the uniparty/media complex was supposed to change everything in DC overnight?
I’ll vote Cruz. Trump if he gets the nod. The rest can kiss my grits.

The GOPe wants amnesty. Wish it were not so. Would not take many republican votes to get it through. Rubio would proudly sign.

Well that was compared to Bush. And we don’t know what President Rubio would do. Obama promised his supporters a ton and he has not delivered on hardly any of them. So being President is much harder then it seems.

The problem at its roots is If the GOP actually wants to win they need someone who can actually beat Hillary and that person clearly is Trump.

Oh come on. I could stand all day trying to convince everyone what I want too. You could too. But if you are not successful even one time then you are just not a leader. That is leadership 101. I still think he will only be able to issue Executive Orders to get his stuff done. He can’t get his own party to believe in him? How is he going to deal with the Democrats who will be filibustering everything he wants.

Bull. Don't start none, won't be none.

The GOP's liberal candidate is the reason O won.

The GOP owns that. Your party has been warned... again.

Not sure Rubio is that man to go up against Hitlery.

He singlehandedly destroyed Bush. I say that is pretty good. As far as a serious debater, Trump, Rubio, Fiorina have all won debates. The so called international debater has not......kinda crazy. Of course the excuse is that these are not real debates. lol. Only the same debates for the last 40 years and the same debates that will be used for the general.

America at this fork in the road doesn’t need a brilliant debater and orator, it needs action and results on the ground. Trump has a proven track record in that arena - no one else comes close.

Yep...the forces that be are coalescing. On one side will be the Conservative Trump-Cruz coalition, on the other will be the other entire GOP(e) pack.

I think the the GOP(e) realizes that if they can keep Trump and or Cruz from a 50% delegate majority, they can dictate the outcome after the first ballot.

The 2016 convention may be a blood bath.

Three unique and important things to remember about Trump; 1) he’s can beat Hillary when on one else will 2) Trump is second to none in the economic arena. 3) Trump is adaptable - he can think on his feet like no other - and can articulate his position unscripted and without circumlocution.

I like people who can re-evaluate a previously held position and change their mind. That is way better than the dogmatic elitists who are to proud to admit they are wrong.

Personal attack because you know your candidate was a flaming liberal.

Your party has been warned. Conservatives won't vote for a liberal.

Winner-take-all primaries almost assure a first-ballot convention winner. Florida and Ohio are the first two big WTA prizes.

The American people don’t care about debating or oratory skills, and that is NOT what the country needs. Cruz could blow Hillary away with skills like that and still lose the election. Trump is right when he says this election is about competence - in executing economic policy for an example. He has the only proven track record in that arena. He is THE ONLY one bringing up issues like corporate inversion. This is why he gets 10x more at his the rally crowds compared to anyone else. Like Trump says the American people are smart. The fact this election is about competence and economics and not debating and oratory skills is what those rally crowds see and understand.
