How is there any debris or bodies? When the airliner plunged straight down in Pennsylvania on 9/11, we were told there were no bodies and no wreckage because the impact vaporized everything. So why, here, is that not true?
Just guessing, but if they really are finding wreckage and bodies in a 5 km area of some sort, that means it broke up on the way down. Flight 93 went straight into the ground intact. Scattered wreckage indicates an in-flight breakup. Investigators will be able to map the pattern of the wreckage to help track at what altitude the A321 actually came apart and how fast/what direction it was moving.
If the plane was really at 31,000 feet when it started to descend and then broke up, that would more likely indicate a bomb than a missile. Shoulder-launched missiles can’t reach that high. But some mobile ground-based SAM launchers can.
