Nope, it’s a real word.
I had to go to the dictionary for “oleaginous”. As you said, that is a word I have never heard in conversation (or to my recollection, seen in print either).

Same here - had never run into the word before. Last week I had to look up “pococurante” from a post in reference to Hillary. Who knew so many words fit the Clintons to a T???
