My husband asks me why I waste time watching the debates when we all know, it’s biased, the moderators do their best to attack and demean with leading biased questions, etc. It’s theater. It’s a circus. Yadda yadda.
Well, I believe in the content of one’s character. And I think that’s the main reason to watch the debates (save for some entertainment)...is to see the character of these candidates. How they handle each other, how they handle the biased media, how they handle themselves. I think it shows a great deal how they would conduct thenmselves in office, under pressure, with allies and other leaders.
I know I’m not alone in that thought, because many comments on here tonight speak to just that. And it matters greatly to me, that our next president put class, dignity, honor, respect and great character back to the tarnished office that Obama has left in ruins. It should matter to more people, IMO.
I agree for the most part but I don’t think that means a candidate should be a punching bag. We’ll be in trouble if we get a President who says “May I have another, Sir”.
