There’s a huge difference in the number of H1-B’s that are graduates of US universities (and particularly with advanced degrees) and the total number being imported. While I am a Cruz supporter, I won’t fault Trump for his statement tonight, which needs to be taken in context.

Here’s the thing about what Trump says: These foreign students come here to study - and yes, they get student loans for schooling. IF they graduate and go back to their home countries - these loans don’t get repaid. And, to be onest, some of the foreigners make excellent doctors, etc. Why send the best and brightest back when they could be useful citizens here in the U.S.? Just another view of where I think Trump is coming from on this issue.
