FNC, as well as other news outlets, get the high ratings when Trump is on. Trump knows this....and knows exactly how to play it.
Thanks for the reminder. I remember Beck now, he’s that Elmer Gantry dude, sent a truck load of teddy bears to illegal’s kids, cries more than Boehner, and called Trump’s wife a porn star.
“Forgive me if this offends anyone, but: when we have a proven, brilliant conservative such as Sen. Cruz, why do people get so ga-ga about Trump”
Because Trump gets results. Or maybe you will notice that Jeb Bush went from inevitable to having to go cry to his mommy and daddy for money.
Trump also introduced an agenda into the race that actually tapped into real issues that we care about, and not just engage in a whose conservative sausage is bigger, nor is he trying to pull a stunt of just keeping quiet and making no waves.
And thirdly he has combated the press far more than any GOP candidate since Reagan. Not by shrugging his shoulders and saying “Oh that’s just how they are”. He takes it to them and doesn’t apologize for it.
You know, that stuff we kept complaining that the GOPE didn’t do.
“Brilliant conservative” is just elitist baloney masking as a winning trait. People want action, not to get squishy because someone made a pedantic point like this is a debating society.
“When people give up their reasoned judgment in favor of a gushing, gasping version of, Oh...! OH!!! Hes saying JUST what I wanted for SO long for SOMEONE to say! What a relief! He has MY vote!, I really start to despair for my country...”
Jesus..... Well have fun talking yourselves to death, because all of the brilliant soft-spoken crap has gotten us jack squat.
The left doesn’t care about that. They will let you make your little point, and then they will sock you right in the face. Sorry, but political reality is what it is.
Excellent. Thanks for your post.

Note: If you don't like the ratings for any reason, please contact Conservative Review's Editor-in-Chief, "The Great One," Mark Levin. But I have to warn you that you may get this response from him: "GET OFF THE PHONE, YOU BIG DOPE!"
You have summed up what I have been seeing for some time now, but couldn’t quite put it in words. Great post.
I have been for Cruz from day one, clearly the most principled conservative, and with the track record to prove it. The Trump mania hasn’t diminished that one iota.
He goes on FNC to get them high ratings?
That's less than a month later. He went on Hannity even sooner.
‘Zactly. We’re past debate club time...
That is a great article. I find it rings true to me, based on growing up with a brother of an IQ of 148.
Then again, TR didn’t live his entire life lavishly beyond his means, as Jefferson did, leaving Monticello and his slaves behind to cover his accumulated debts. If IQ could have been measured in the late 18th or early 20th centuries Thomas may well have edged Theodore by a few points. But he was a genius who couldn’t seem to balance his books. Whether he kept his trousers buttoned around the house slaves is open to debate.
Because as much as Ted rails against his own party he’s still part of the elected class. I agree Cruz is hands down the best candidate we have, and I was a Walker supporter, but don’t blame people for wanting to vote for a non-politician like Trump. We’ve had enough crap thrown on us by elected Republicans. You hardcore Cruzers need to keep that in mind before going off on fellow conservatives for not supporting your guy.
Spot on!!
LOL...have you been under a rock?
Did you miss the whole Trump/Ailes talks back and forth?
Trump dumped FNC, Ailes had to offer the high ground....Trump agreed to come back to FNC, only on certain shows. He likes Hannity and I’m sure Hannity like the ratings he gets, when Trump is on (as does Wallace, Cavuto, etc)...
Well said. Many have left reasoning behind to follow a candidate who excites their emotions.
If Cruz was able to wield the authority of an owner and CEO of a company would he get results? Or if Trump was one freshman senator in an exclusive and archaically stratified rich man’s club, how effective would he be? Saying one man is effective and the other not so without examining the environment in which they operate is misleading. The presidency is the top executive position in a POLITICAL system, where other players have power and authority. I had the same issue with Ross Perot back in the day that I have with the Donald Trump today. He’s no Eisenhower, the last person for whom the presidency was his first elective office.
LOL...aren’t you nice - The Jane app :)
I just need someone who knows how to help write the app...then I’m all set ;-)
He’s a drunk Mormon that Fox News keeps propping up....he’s spews Palin and Trump hate so they adore him...
I must confess I used to be a fan. Even went to the big 8/28 event in DC but after a while his crying, and programming gimmicks wore thin. Calling Palin a clown was the next to the last straw. His personal attacks on Trump was the final straw.
