Can anybody recommend a good entry level air rifle that will have enough power for squirrel mostly and has a scope attachment?

I can go single spring or multiple pump style.

The Daisy 880 in .177 is the gun for you. It comes with a scope for only $34.86. The scope is not a very good one optically but it does work.

It all depends on how much you wish to spend.

I have heard reasonably good things about the Gamo Silent Cat .177. It is about $130 with scope.

The pellets run around a penny each. I recommend pellets of about 8 grains for a .177 for squirrel hunting, with max range of about 75-100 feet for this rifle.

YMMV

If you decide to get a Gamo “Silent Cat”, be sure to get the one with the cat on the box and SAT printed on it. Do not pick up the one with the squirrel on the box. It is the old model. The new model is the same price, but has a much improved trigger.
