Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has reversed his views on Americas premiere health insurance program.
Speaking to MSNBCs Morning Joe today, the New York real estate mogul said he is in full support of Medicare.
"Ben [Carson] wants to knock out Medicare. I heard that over the weekend. He wants to abolish Medicare, Trump said of Carsons comments that Medicare probably wont be necessary under his health care plan.
Trump added: Abolishing Medicare, I don't think you'll get away with that one. It's actually a program that's worked. Its a program that some people love, actually.
But it was just Sunday morning on ABC News "This Week where Trump said he agreed with Carsons plan to replace the 50-year-old Medicare system with health savings accounts (HSA).

I don’t think you are allowed to point out inconsistencies in Trump’s positions - it causes the Trumpkins to tie themselves in knots trying to explain why it shows Trump is such a great leader by changing positions overnight!
Aww C’mon man.
You know its all part of a grand strategy to be revealed at a later date maybe. It’ll be terrific.
It’s not actually clear that Trump actually agreed with anything Carson had to say on medicare in the previous interview. Trump was replying to the concept of HSAs, but never said anything about replacing Medicare with it. ABC just created a headline then manufactured a flop.
What’s inconsistent? Trump has never said he wants to abolish Medicare. Anyone who does won’t be elected.
You must be right. None of us are smart enough to figure it out, but it will be great, we’ll be amazed at how great it is!
Republicans flip-flop on issues.
Democrats learn, grow, mature and progress to a higher level of understanding.
See, this is a problem. I love that Trump wants to make America great again.....but what seem to be complete turn around positions in such a short time concern me.
I originally supported Walker. Now that that ship has sailed, I really am undecided.
I won’t vote Christie or Pataki or Jeb or Gilmore or Huckabee or Santorum or Fiorina.....
Right now, in no real order, my four considerations are Cruz, Trump, Rubio and Carson.
All have qualities I like, but all have liabilities. I will watch tomorrow’s debate closely.
Did you read the article? Trump agreed with Carson on Sunday, then changed his mind and disagreed with him on Monday...
And Carson never said anything about replacing Medicare with it, he just said Medicare would probably not be necessary.
He never mentioned HSA for Medicare recipients. He did mention them as one phase of overturning obamacare. People need to stop listening to the media lies.
Bump!
Because, you know, he is great!!!
I’m going to assume you are a Cruz supporter. Now, I’d like to hear his detailed health care plan. All I hear is repeal and replace obamacare. With what? How? See, how this works? Undoubtedly it will be the smartest plan ever put forth by the smartest man who ever walked the earth - Ted Cruz. /sarc
The author John Santucci has a serious comprehension problem. I dislike immensely articles that set up a false contradiction. blah blah blah....but....
Yes, I did. Just because he likes the idea of medical savings accounts doesn’t mean he want’s to abolish Medicare. Medical savings accounts are great for younger people, but that doesn’t mean you abolish Medicare for those already or soon to be retired, who already paid into it all their working lives. The author is presenting a false choice and calling it a flip-flop.
We’ll want to get sick just so we can experience its greatness.
Because, you know, he is great!!!
Be patient. Trump will probably flip again and agree with Carson on Friday.
And Carson never said he wanted to abolish Medicare - so it sounds like to two were in agreement. So why did Trump lie and say that Carson wanted to knock out Medicare?
