Almost all of the losers (as well as the winners) of the Iowa caucuses in the last two cycles have supported the RFS.
With McCain being a notable exception. As Huck was gonna take Iowa in 2008 anyway, that played well to the folks in New Hampshire who don't like their snow throwers getting wrecked by ethanol.

McCain had suspended his campaign during the leadup to the 2008 Iowa caucuses, though he did have some residual support from the country-club set.
