Was the emblem on the flag put there shortly after the Civil War or is it from a change made in reaction to the civil rights movement of the 1960s?

The fact that a black man can take his family and walk all around a waving confederate flag and then go to his own home, mocks any vestige of slavery that that flag might have represented. However, if the sight of flag causes a single minded hatred or a compulsion to strive for its destruction, then he himself has put on the chains of slavery again.
I have said the same thing, probably for different reasons, a million times since November 4, 2008.

These college kids at Ole Miss likely were never even taught about the Civil war in School so they don’t have a clue. Their thinking is totally driven by social media sites like Facebook. They know zippo about the Constitution or states rights as they are all good little socialists.
I think this whole movement is a plot to get more blacks to move out of the racist liberal North to the South.

the confederate battle flag is gen. lee’s flag from the army of northern virginia. it was flown for four years during the civil war. no slaves were purchased under that flag.
the flags true purpose and origin is in defiance of federal tyranny.

another fact would be that the democrat party was fighting to protect slavery. after they lost the civil war, they started the KKK to continue their racist agenda. it hasn’t stopped.
That would be the PC thing to do.
