This weekend illustrates why Trump (or somebody like him) could be president.
The second rule of presidential politics is never tell voters youve got something better to do.
Jeb Bush on Saturday: Ive got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them.
The third rule of presidential politics is never tell voters to vote for somebody else.
Jeb Bush: That is a joke. Elect Trump if you want that.
The fourth rule of presidential politics is politics today sucks. Deal with it.
Jeb Bush: If this election is about how were going to fight to get nothing done, I dont want any part of it. I dont want to be elected president to sit around and see gridlock just become so dominant that people literally are in decline in their lives. That is not my motivation.
The scion of a very political family broke all the rules Saturday, including the one about never surrendering to a bully. A bully smells blood.
Bush has no money, Donald Trump, the billionaire celebrity TV star and GOP presidential front-runner, said Sunday. Hes meeting today with mommy and daddy, and theyre working on his campaign.
Hes a guy wants to run our country and he cant even run his own campaign, Trump told a rally in Bushs home state of Florida. Think of it!

It is?
The teachers here hate every Republican governor because they do not give them huge raises. The Demoncrats don’t either, but they are willing to lie and say that they will....right after the next election.
If they wanted to make a ton of money, they chose the wrong job.
My wife is different from that. She teaches her kids real stuff like reading and writing and real arithmetic. She can do that because she is a Spec Ed primary teacher and is thus ignored by the school board and the principal. Some of her kids including some of the dumb ones, after a year are much more accomplished than the mainstream kids.
The one-worlders are not happy my FRiend.
Not happy at all.
And with Jebito Bushario days away from going bye bye...
There is hope.
:-)
I agree, the very definition of pathetic. And, given that it was among presidential candidates, surreal. I must have looked at that clip a dozen times, thinking, "okay, he's joking, he's making fun..."
But he wasn't.
It does seem Jeb has been half hearted about this run from the start. What kind of candidate begins his campaign by telling everyone who’s vote he doesn’t want/need?
Here in CA thats less true every year.
It used to be teachers got great retirement benefits because they were expected to earn less during the course of their careers than those in the private sector.
Thanks to collective bargaining they now have great retirement benefits PLUS pretty damn good salaries, in many cases better than their equivalents in the private sectors.
>>Thanks to collective bargaining they now have great retirement benefits PLUS pretty damn good salaries, in many cases better than their equivalents in the private sectors.
They do here in FL too, for a job that is not all-year, has fairly short days compared to the private sector, and provides many work days each year where the customer (the students) stay home. But they think they deserve a six-figure salary due to their Masters degree, while ignoring the supply and demand problem of too many teachers graduating college each year and not enough retiring. (The “teacher shortage” is largely due to affirmative action requirements—they refuse to hire the qualified so they can create openings for the diverse.)
So they all hate Republicans for not giving them all that they think they deserve. Then they hate Republicans when Democrats don’t give them what they promised.
Public schools are child abuse.
Perhaps he should try running for the office of President in Mexico since he is so pro-Mexican in all his positions. Little Jebbie is obviously campaigning in the wrong country and nobody on his high paid staff told him.
