"Trump seems the only one capable of standing up to, and shattering the PC barrier. "

I don't see it that way. I see his passion, his willingness to be bold, but I also see some serious negatives: He isn't particularly well-informed on issues, actually less so than most of the GOP candidates. In debates with lyin' Hillary, she will make him look unprepared. Other candidates have been and are standing up to the PC crap, especially Carson (also some needs to study more detail on the issues) and Fiorina (who sometimes comes off as brittle---smile more, Carly!). Personally, I think Rubio is probably the most electable, though his relatively recent weaker views on illegal immigration hurt him with the base (me).

Trump is no more conservative than Romney, even less conservative, actually. I think of him as a guy slightly to the left of Romney, but aggressive and enjoying mixing it up with progressives.
