Because the FEC filing for the 4Q fundraising is 2 weeks before the Iowa caucus. It will be a major disappointment to the Bushes when little Jebbie has to report that his 4Q fundraising is totally non-existent, which will generate guffaws among the base that he despises. All of Bush's big donors are withdrawing, and he has cut his staff and his expenses and his consultants/strategists are picking at his remains.
So basically, Jeb is meeting with Mommy and Daddy to determine his fate.
