The horse is out of the barn and anything goes. Same sex marriage supporters have no principle they can point to and say “we can’t have this”. I can foresee a father “marrying” his son and thereby avoiding inheritance taxes.

The state has marginalized marriage to the level of feces. State recognized marriage is now irrelevant save the tax advantages.

This is what is meant by the “slippery slope”. You can’t take “just one step” out onto it without sliding all the way into the pit.
