This poll was designed to get Ben Carson ahead of Donald Trump. Bloomberg and the Des Moines Register asked a serious of questions that are overwhelmingly favorable for Carson.

It's a big time push poll:

Several of those questions are complete negatives, and several are ambiguous in valence. Whether they were positive or negative would depend on the respondent.

The poll does include questions that are founded in objective truth, but contradict the trump lies. But that’s tough noogies for the cultists, Dr. Carson really was highly successful as a neurosugeon, no matter what lies trump said about his abilities as a doctor.

Wow! Excellent research on the GOPe PUSH POLL THAT IS MAKING CARSON BEAT TRUMP!

Remember these are Bush people behind Carson. Reminds me of Bush's push polls in NC against McCain in 2000.

Did they ask those questions first BEFORE asking about presidential choices? If so, it is most definitely a push/pull poll. I checked the methodology and no mention of whether or not the obvious push/poll questions were asked first or not.

LOL, yeah right. And the other poll that just came out showing Carson ahead of Trump in Iowa? A coincidence? Or also a media conspiracy push poll? And what about the new one in Wisconsin showing Carson leading? So these polls are all starting to roll in showing Carson adding support while Trump is sliding, and you come up with some nonsense to dismiss today’s poll.

Hey, remember the “Unskewed polls” guy? Who claimed Mitt Romney was really winning the election because the polls were all skewed or setup as push polls to benefit Obama. How did that work out for him? He later just had to admit he was completely wrong and the polls were pretty accurate afterall.

I think a more reasonable explanation for Trump’s fall in a couple of very recent polls is that some thing or event caused a sizable percentage of Republicans to move away from him. My guess is it was the 9-11 truther claptrap Trump started spewing. I suspect it alienated a lot of Republicans who may not much like GW Bush in most regards, but remember him very fondly for his actions post 9-11. Most people, other than nuts like Michael Moore, paulbots and assorted conspiracy wackos avoid truther nonsense.

Then again, this could just be a meaningless polling blip - or it could be folks are just tired and becoming bored with Trumps shtick. Still too early to tell. It will takes weeks to see if there is any real trend.
