It’s one poll that got the media the result they wanted. And now they will flog the hell out of it until another poll shows up contradicting it.
They hope to make hay out of it for a couple of days in hopes of generating a narrative. Just like all of those post-debate surveys showing how much Carly kicked butt...only to be nowhere today.
Kind of like Firorina. The media tried to pump her up following the second debate. Suddenly, poof, she's gone. No more mentions. The media will use any stick with which to beat Trump. They are all the same avenues to an end; to leave only Bush standing.
I would not be the least bit surprised to find the fingerprints of Mike Murphy directing these slimy efforts.
Das Narrative Über Alles!
And it doesn’t matter at all.
Let me explain why I firmly believe that Trump is going to sweep the primaries.
It’s not about the polls and it’s not about how many people support a candidate.
It’s about how many people actually take the time to register to vote. How many roll themselves out of bed or take their lunch hour or take time off of work to walk into the polling place and pull the lever for their guy.
Trump’s supporters are motivated and passionate. Carson’s supporters smile and say, “He’s a nice guy.” But that nice guy isn’t attracting the crowds. That nice guy is burning through his (solicited) donations like water. His supporters aren’t bellowing all over the internet with passion.
Iowa tends to only get about 19% participation rate in the primaries. That’s it. Only 1 out of 5 eligible voters actually show up.
When the rubber meets the road, it will be Trump supporters stampeding the ballot box.
Just like all of those post-debate surveys showing how much Carly kicked butt...only to be nowhere today.
And nary a word has been spoken about that.
