Using lasers that BLIND enemy troops VIOLATES international law. Period. They aren't "enemy troops," they're TERRORISTS.
Burning captured pilots in cages and cutting heads of of Christians or burning them alive in churches violates international law, too.
Screw off.

They’re not troops and thus are not covered by the Geneva or Hague Conventions.

Using lasers that BLIND enemy troops VIOLATES international law. Period.Because killing your enemy is so much more... you know... humane, than simply wounding him!
The article implies that it's directed at technology more than human eyeballs. And there's nothing to imply that if it is used against human beings that it permanently blinds them. And even if it does blind them permanently, is that really worse than killing them?
From the article:
The country's defence vehicles could soon be equipped with the device, which fires out light strong enough to block sensors and cloak human vision.
It will provide cover for troops by dazzling enemies and sabotaging hostile reconnaissance attempts.

Why do they cheer such things on? They'd love to start using such methods themselves (besides their advocacy for buggering prisoners and everyone else).
See the "conservative" (according to them) portion...

That's what big government spending got us: a fascist cult of personality.
