This is what liberalism does to public safety. I was watching a crime program a couple of days ago, it was a reality based program, not fiction. The crime was a rape murder of a young woman who was starting out on an acting career in New York City. The young woman was lured into the murderers apartment to try out for an acting role. The murderer strangled her and raped her. The police found the murderer and learned that he had just gotten out of prison after 5 I/2 years for strangling and raping another woman!
The liberal judge pleaded down the crime from murder to assault. A man murders and rapes a woman and that is manslaughter? Unbelievable. The killer was eligible for a 10 to 15 year sentence, the judge gave him 7 1/2 years. After 5 1/2 years he was let out for good behavior.
This is such a grotesque miscarriage of justice. A vicious killer who should have been kept in prison for the rest of his natural life was let out of jail after 5 1/2 years only to murder and rape again.
When you hear about criminals who have very long arrest records and you wonder how that happens, it is because their sentences are pled down to little or nothing which is what suspended sentence means. Vote for Democrats and this is what you get.

No, he should have been executed quickly. Within a month of the sentence.
