I remember the Watergate hearings and there were some facts involved there that were somewhat complicated. However, I think the average person was able to follow what was happening and what people were saying. Here, the facts are in some ways simpler, but I think to an average person a lot of this hearing appears to be chaotic. I think it looks to an average person like the two parties are both trying to spin every tiny little fact. Nobody wants to concede anything and so it's like a food fight.

It's interesting at times, but are minds being changed? Is any normal person likely to form their opinion based on this or change their mind because of what they're seeing? I have real doubts about that. Occasionally there are some moments where the focus is good, but too often it just seems chaotic no matter what side you're on.

I think that Gowdy should eliminate much of the trivia and just focus on a couple of major themes. Just stick to those and seek more clarity.

Gowdy and Jordan should be the ones doing the questioning.
