Vice President Biden announced Wednesday that he will not run for president, ending months of feverish speculation over his 2016 plans and likely settling the Democratic field.
Speaking in the Rose Garden alongside his wife Jill and President Obama, Biden said the window of opportunity to mount a viable campaign "has closed." He has been weighing a decision since summer, but cautioned all along that he and his family were grieving over the loss of his son Beau Biden -- and said Wednesday he knew that process could outlast the window for making a decision.
"Unfortunately I believe we're out of time, the time necessary to mount a winning campaign for the nomination," Biden said.

me- i never thought he would run from the get-go...
Several possibilities:
1) He knows Hillary has the opposition research on him.
2) He thinks Hillary will get away without an indictment.
3) He really has no heart in it.

He was waiting for the first debate to see Hilliary’s performance. She did well enough (at least according to the MSM) to keep him out of it.
I’m sure he’d welcome a draft, however.

I wanted this clown to run just for the entertainment value.
But Joe, you have plenty of time to mount a losing campaign. Come on.
So they are locked in to Hillary as their candidate. Bernie will run 3rd party and take his nutcases with him. Benghazi will haunt Hillary for the rest of the campaign.
The fix is in - Clinton will be whitewashed by the FBI et al. If she really screws the pooch in the meantime, the convention can always turn to Biden by acclamation.
