Well, I did indicate that it was a "hope"....lol I am not entirely clear why Obama followed through with this meeting, even after it became quite clear that he had not "built a homemade clock".

But I can surmise a few things..

The democrats, and Obama seem to be more interested in continuing the narrative established early on, as opposed to changing course, and the media appears to be doing the same, as they are but a extension of the DNC.
