I read the article... I am still shocked that Ted Cruz is the most Constitutional candidate we have ever had.. and he has little support. trump has repeatedly come out as a leftist, capital crony master and he has oodles of FR support. Are they... Deaf? Illiterate? Are they Trump trolls? How did FR folks become leftists? Trump has some good sound bites, but we have yet to pay the penalty for our current sound bite master.
They look and sound like the crazed obamatrons from years ago.
I have really tried to understand trump, but I can’t. On issues, he just struggles to lay out details and anything more than headline material.
Just on his business leadership... He brags about the crony rules he can twist in his favor... And he clearly has a price.
I sincerely hope these trolls disappear so we can get back to FR of old.

"he just struggles"

With Trump going to fellows like Jeff Sessions for advice that has led to things like his recent 2nd amendment manifesto, this sounds like a "struggle" to shade the facts.

Trump listens to smart advice. That is a biblical thang, believe it or not.

(And, struggles to reach the truth generally are well rewarded. If something were bothersome about Cruz, not to speak ill of what he does believe, but about his larger picture, it would be that he’s campaigning basically on having arrived. Almost a plaster saint. So “good” that he never needs to look outside of himself to adjust an approach. For someone who has never been an executive, that sounds like a shaky attitude to take.)

You really need to check the join dates on us “trolls” before you start wishing for the FR of old. Times change. People need different things in a leader. Cruz is the right choice in a nation that is sane. America has gone insane since 2001 and we need a president with different qualities than Cruz can muster. He could rise up and replace Trump in an instant if he was a motivator. He’s not. He’s just a quiet, polite debater. Yawn.

“He brags about the crony rules he can twist in his favor... And he clearly has a price.”

You just described the morals of every member of Congress of both national and state level.

Now, what’s different about Trump? What’s different is that HE CANNOT BE BOUGHT!

Why should Trump give more details of his plans to his opponents in both parties?

Do sports coaches share their game plans and strategies with their opponents?

Stupid.

My contention since the beginning of this has been that Trump supporters are not or ever been conservatives. Let me narrow it down, small government conservatives. Trump is the type of candidate that I as a small government conservative has feared for decades. He is the typical 1950’s New Deal Democrat. Back in those days, the cultural issues that roil the electorate today were nonexistent. Why, because a consensus of opinion spanned both sides of the aisle. The issues dividing the liberals and conservatives were of the economic sphere. When the cultural consensus was shattered in the late 60’s and 70’s many Democrats who retained their cultural conservatism moved to the GOP. Not overnight, remember evangelicals overwhelmingly voted for Carter in 76, but over a decade. However, their fondness for the New Deal never left. When mobilizing numbers in a fight, these people were more interested in the cultural issues than economic growth. When showed a little ankle that Clinton in 92 might really be a “new type of Democrat”, some, not many even switched back. Trump supporters do not want small government. They want big government to do more for them. They see big government today working for government workers, not them. It cares more for illegal aliens than them. Trump is the perfect candidate for them culturally conservative and economically liberal. He is not the only one staking this claim, Huckebee also is trying to capture this ground, unsuccessfully I might add. To rap up, many people who consider themselves conservative really do not understand what the term even means. It is a gut feeling, not gained through reading Milton Friedman. They are insecure in their beliefs, as seen by how easily they lash out. All they know is that Trump is going to chase the illegals at of Home Depot, get their jobs back from China, and keep their entitlements rolling in. They are not looking back at Reagan's America, they are looking back at Truman's America.

Trump can explain the issues and what needs to be done well enough for most people to understand. He can rally the people and is the horse you ride if you want good people like Cruz in his administration. He is also the torch to set fire to the worthless POS dead wood of the Republican establishment that has done nothing but collude with Dems to maintain / share power at the expense of everyone else.
