At least six of the 911 hijackers - all of the ringleaders - entered the US during the Presidency of B.J. Clinton. Where the hell does Trump get off trying to hang that on George Bush?
It’s worse than stupid, it’s despicable. Bush’s immigration policies had nothin to do with it. Trump is a complete jackass on this one.
Because they overstayed their Visas into the Bush administration; and Bush kept all of Clinton's immigration policies, which are, by the way, still in effect today!
I don’t disagree that some of them entered under Clinton. My question is: what did GWB do to tighten immigration controls and/or improve our monitoring capabilities to keep tabs on people coming into this country? To be sure, any president is going to inherit some problems from his predecessor. The question is, having an awareness of potential threats, what exactly did he do about it?
Anyone who tries to improve things deserves credit for the effort and for assuming responsibility for fixing problems. But when you don’t do anything about them you’ve got to accept some of the blame when something goes wrong.
By the way, where has George W. Bush been for the last six years? His successor is dismantling this country. It would be nice to hear him defend the Republic, our greatness, and our freedoms from time to time.
