What the heck is going on? First of all, Huma Abedin was allowed to testify behind closed doors. That should not have been sanctioned. She should have had to testify in public. The FBI is stone walling the case and not aggressively going after Hillary Clinton and her lieutenants like Huma Abedin. Now, Trey Gowdy doesn’t even show at her hearing and says there is no particular reason for it. This morning I heard that Clinton warned the GOP to lay off Abedin and now this. Abedin should have been raw meat for a prosecutor like Gowdy. This makes no sense whatsoever and it looks very, very bad. Cummings was almost an hour late as well. In fact, so many were late that Abedin left and came back. Just shaking my head over this.

The fix is apparently in.
But, as far as I know .. the “Speaker of the House” is the only person who can tell Gowdy to shut it down. And .. it didn’t get shut down .. Gowdy just wasn’t there.
This is very strange.
Maybe Gowdy has changed his mind and decided to take the Speakership after all .. but his not showing up for this meeting isn’t a good sign for that either.
Or, maybe there is something else going on over at the FBI and they are getting ready to expose some more information ..?? Don’t know .. but I’m suspicious.
Saw another thread here which said FBI is looking at the Espionage Act, Section 793(f). Haven’t looked it up, but I will .. later.
Maybe Gowdy has new info .. and didn’t feel Huma would give him any old info he could use anyway.
Maybe he is going to quit in frustration and disgust?

My information was always unclear where she lived and for how long. In the age of 0bama, information that is normally readily available can be erased or covered up quite well.
Still, the real questions are what people and what organizations shaped her thinking and ideology? I think it’s safe to say Patrick Henry wasn’t a big influence on Jarrett.
Actually, the reason most likely has to do with the discovery, just up a couple of hours before Huma was scheduled to appear, that Huma had yet another email address which she had not revealed before today.

And .. nowhere in the news all morning have I heard anything about the fact that IRAN has not agreed to the USA plan .. I’ve been laughing all morning over that.

Closed doors? After nearly 4 years of this political circus charade these SOB’s in DC are still interviewing witnesses? They must be short staffed so we should up their staffs to 800 or so and maybe we’ll find out something in the next 20 years,

Nope... there was a new discovery this morning. It seems Huma was holding out something and it was discovered.

I am a lawyer and work some pretty big cases. While I would like to take every dep, it’s just not possible and my Associate takes some. He does a very good job. I am sure Gowdy has other things than this on his plate and was likely preparing for the showdown with Hillary

The doors are closed because of the classified nature of the materials being discussed. It also reduces the lib tendency to preen and get theatrical before the cameras.

Well .. Michelle Bachman lost her credibility when she hired a political consultant to run her Presidential campaign .. and the first thing he did was go out and start bashing Palin. That might have been okay .. except it was Palin who was all over the place making speeches for Bachman.
That little stunt caused her even more arrows when she wouldn’t apologize to Palin, and made the consultant apologize privately; I suppose to make believe Bachman didn’t put him up to it.
That cooked her goose. That was why she didn’t win re-election.
I’m not sure how this email address was discovered- if Huma coughed it up or if it was discovered unbeknownst to her.
