The White House insisted on Tuesday that Russia's engagement in Syria is not forcing Russia and the U.S. into a "proxy war" with each other, and blamed Republicans for trying to coax President Obama into that situation.

If only the Republicans were this powerful in dealing with Obamacare, or Planned Parenthood, or government spending, or absolutely anything else.
Amazing how Republicans are all powerful when it serves this dolt, but they are totally clueless and inept in every single other circumstance.

“Goading” means that
the lying, EXEMPT, deservedly-hated, treasonous GOP,
with its history of using the IRS against conservatives,
protecting fraud, protecting treason, and arming al Qaeda,
probably IS agreeing with the Indonesian Moslem impostor.

Hes doing it all by his community organizer self. Saw this written back in 2008 regarding the criteria for being President.
I look for someone who has abandonment issues from both parents and who made it in this rough and tumble world on the basis of his minority background. I also look for someone who has organized and rabble roused through communities that didn't need it. Very Important point... He must have NO EXPERIENCE in any sort of job and must speak well when reading what's written for him. He must be petulant and pissy, with very thin skin.

Can you imagine Reagan claiming the Dems were goading him into a proxy war?

This was the line suggested by a WaPo story a few days ago.
Our "free" press once again functioning as the bodyguard of lies: if the Obama regime is too stupid to come up with some politically useful outright fabrication, the press will step in and supply one for them.

I think Cruz, Rubio, Fiorina, and Christie are guilty as charged.
They are bad mouthing in creating a no fly zone , putting missiles into Poland, anti Assad and accusing Russia of all sorts of ambitions. Urging Obama to really get tough, and to his credit he has held back.
Good thing McCain isn't president.

"Following the publication on 30 August of the U.S. Government Assessment of the Syrian Governments Use of Chemical Weapons on August 21, 2013, President Obama gave a speech in the White House rose garden on 31 August in which he announced that he would seek authorization from Congress before using American military forces to intervene in the Syrian civil war.[33] In the speech, he announced that he was "prepared to give that order," referring to ordering a strike on Syria.[33] Obama argued that it was necessary to intervene because the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria "risks making a mockery of the global prohibition on the use of chemicals weapons" and that it put U.S. regional allies that share a border with Syria in danger.[34] In his speech, Obama also said that, "while I believe I have the authority to carry out this military action without specific congressional authorization, I know that the country will be stronger if we take this course, and our actions will be even more effective."[34] Introduction of S.J. Res. 21 in the Senate soon followed."

Obama wants the US as far away from this as possible. With the US in the crosshairs, ISIS can’t move as fast as they are.
Follow the Saudi money and see which politicians want Obama to do something about Syria. That’s the Sunni connection in the Shiite vs Sunni war for who claims the caliphate.

I’m sure you’re right. However, did I not read somewhere that Obama is re-arming the rebels to the tune of $500 million?

Please disregard my previous post. I think that $500 million arming of Syrian rebels took place last year.
