I was looking into something called the “Delphi Technique” used in meetings and forums in order to achieve “consensus”. Sounds like this gal and CNN was trying it - but failed:

Delphi has been cleaned up for corporate culture as, for example, the GE Change Acceleration Process. If you worked for a large company in the last 20 years you've probably been through it in some shape or form, either in group "culture" training or any meeting with HR.
