A former Benghazi Committee staffer who says he was fired, in part, because he complained about a partisan investigation aimed at former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton had ample opportunity to raise his concerns over the past few month but did so only recently in order to help his forthcoming lawsuit, according to committee chairman Trey Gowdy.
I was fired for going on military service and I was fired for trying to conduct an objective, non-partisan, thorough investigation, the staffer, Bradley Podliska, told CNN in an interview that aired Sunday.
______
In a lawsuit to be filed next month, Podliska, an intelligence officer in the Air Force Reserve, claims his firing in June came after he questioned the committees focus on Clinton and because he requested a 39-day leave fulfill his military service requirements in Germany.
______
But Podliska, who began working for the committee as an intelligence investigator in Sept. 2014, only brought up the Clinton angle on Friday when he granted interviews to CNN and The New York Times to discuss his lawsuit against the committee, according to Gowdy.
Until his Friday conversations with media, this staffer has never mentioned Secretary Clinton as a cause of his termination, and he did not cite Clintons name in a legally mandated mediation, Gowdy said, adding that Podliska has not produced documentary proof that his termination was tied to the focus on Clinton.
Podliskas claims have served as fodder for the Clinton campaign which has asserted that Gowdys investigation is politically-motivated. Those accusations gained steam earlier this month when House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy praised the committees work for contributing to Clintons slide in the polls.
In his interviews, Podliska said that after the discovery of Clintons off-the-books email server in early March, the committee resources were diverted away from a comprehensive investigation into the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi to focusing more on Clinton.
He also requested leave to complete reserve duties in Germany an announcement that Podliska claims caused resentment among his colleagues and superiors.
With the discovery of Clintons mysterious email system, the investigation deemphasized the other agencies that were involved in the Benghazi attacks and the aftermath of the attacks, said Podliska.
I knew that we needed to get to the truth to the victims families. And the victims families, they deserve the truth whether or not Hillary Clinton was involved, whether or not other individuals were involved, Podliska, an intelligence officer in the Air Force Reserve, told CNNs Jake Tapper.
Any chance that this pig is a Hillary operative?
Can anyone name ONE single Trey Gowdy “accomplishment” besides being a good talker?
Any of you know Bradley Podliska?
This kangaroo court investigation is kabuki theater for TPTB, a.k.a The UNIPARTY
His loves going on Greta
I’m starting to wonder about Kevin McCarthy’s flub. Was it really a mistake or was it actually intended to support this mole’s allegation of extreme anti-Hillary bias to derail Gowdy. GOPe had to be forced to set up the special committee in the first place.
Intel officer- might be connected to VIPS.
ANYTHING to cast aspersions on Gowdy’s Investigation.
He was assigned to the position right at the time this hit the news:
Judicial Watch: New State Department Documents Reveal Hillary Clinton Email Gap
Judicial Watch ^ | September 14, 2015 | Staff http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3338663/posts
The first batch of documents obtained by Judicial Watch contains a heavily redacted email from State Department official Eric F. Stein to Margaret P. Grafeld, dated April 21, 2015, with the subject HRC Emails. Stein is deputy director of global information systems at the State Department and Grafeld is deputy assistant secretary of global information systems. Stein reports to Grafeld that the gaps in Clintons emails include:
Jan. 21 March 17, 2009 (Received Messages) Jan. 21 April 12, 2009 (Sent Messages) Dec. 30, 2012 Feb. 1, 2013 (Sent Messages)
So what if Hillary is the target? It’s her responsibility to ensure the ambassadors safety
Look, if you don’t think this is going anywhere spare us the whining and go play on some other threads.
It’s obvious whatever Gowdy is doing is scaring the hell out of the left [and maybe the GOPe too] just by their reactions to each stage of the investigation- we’ve got Dems playing sick now and pleading the 5th and hiring trolls try to trash the prosecutor. And if the sick ones aren’t just play acting then their stroking out is a sign they are under some severe stress.
Gowdy’s record is one of pursuing and not losing and his investigation is not exclusive to lil’ ol’ Hillary.
His tie is always straight.
Is the Clinton Foundation paying this guy for his untruthful information?
We need to know, so there fore that FOUNDATION needs a non Political Federal Independent Investigation ...and NOW not later.
This guy is a total Clinton set up. this is typical operation procedure for them..watch and see..when he is under OATH it will change, unless he can LIE and Granny Benghazi promises him a Pardon.
NONE of them can be BELIEVED OR TRUSTED...
WAKE UP VOTERS...VOTE THEM ALL OUT...LETS START NEW...
Gowdy is as tough and smart as they come. He never lost a case as a US federal prosecutor.
It doesn’t matter. I expect that his lawsuit is being funded by the Clinton minions, and the truth of it doesn’t matter. The fact that he has made these claims and filed a lawsuit is the only fact that will get into the rigid, closed minds of those disposed to distrust Republicans. That’s it.
Participating in a partisan investigation didn’t bother Her Thighness when she was a Watergate staffer. Partisan investigations are all the democrats ever do, why the fuss now?
