SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) — If you were anywhere in San Francisco Saturday and didn’t see the Blue Angels, you likely heard them. The U.S. Navy flight squadron dazzled spectators as part of the city’s annual Fleet Week festivities.

Not everyone was thrilled. Representing some of the unimpressed, San Francisco supervisor John Avalos took to Twitter.
“Maybe the rain and the fog means no Blue Angels! … #WishfulThinking,” Avalos tweeted.
In response to a constituent, Avalos tweeted this: “U expect me to LIKE war planes buzzing SF w/feel good jingoism? Just the THOUGHT of a crash over the city should be enuf to shut it down.”
