My young nephew called the day Trump announced. He will vote in his first election next year. He was so excited “he’s one of us!” Over and over. He knew all sorts of things but had to tell me all about the wrestling match with Vince McMahon and how much money they had raised , the ice rink story and a couple others He and his friends in Michigan are all ready to help his campaign.
He’s been reading and learning truly vetting but the bottom line is in his young heart he relates to the man and his humor - Nephew is a bit of a nerd and pointed out that aspect I hadn’t seen in Trump. But he’s correct. No drinking, drugging, smoking but lots of hard work makes “nerdish” behavior cool!
There were a lot of young people at the rally. It gave comfort to my old heart.
