This was a serious prayer session......even the laying on of hands.
I believe Trump is real and wants to get right with the Lord.
This is a HUGE undertaking ( no pun intended)
.....and he needs all the help and prayer he can get!
The arrows are flying at him from all directions even from El Chapo.
God bless him.......
God protect him and his family.
He has been raising money at a good clip and, no doubt, spending a lot by staffing every IA county. Through June he had spent $5m, so I think it's reasonable to think through Sept. He probably spent $15 m. He's probably offset that with his new fundraising---except now the bills grow exponentially with hundreds of paid staff (as Walker discovered).
Cruz is fighting for dead last. He needs to drop out, quickly. Freepers go mad, but he’s a dud.
He is realizing that the only way to get noticed is to say something about Trump.
All you hear about is the diaper boy Rubio,Fiorina,Bush,Carson, they totally ignore Cruz and they have since the first debate.
The establishment and the Press don’t want a real conservative period, they have all the excuses not to cover him but that’s the one they will never mention
So glad someone woke you :)
And I appreciate your answer!....( it’s what I expected)
thanks!
What an utterly stupid question. What he suppose to say “Oh yeah Trump will be the nominee, I don’t know why anyone else is even running”.
By my estimation he should have about $40 m including latest fundraising blitz. In May/June he was spending $2.5 m a month, but probably now it’s getting close to $5 m a month without big ad buys. Once all IA paid staffers kick in? That money goes fast.
I wish he’d do the right thing and drop and endorse Trump.
There’s just no way he’ll be on top. He’s just not well liked and is not a good campaigner. I know that kills a lot of freepers to hear, but it’s the truth.
I beg yer puddin’.....er...aahh....PARDON! I was for Cruz before Trump announced. But once Trump did, I realized that he’s the only one with the means and the chops to defeat the Corrupt Bastards Club in DC, and start turning our Country around.
I appreciate that Cruz is a Christian brother; that he’s a brilliant lawyer; that he’s a skillful debater. But it has slowly sunk in to my little six volt mind, that the latter two of those attributes may be a detriment.
On the stump or in an argument Cruz is so smooth and erudite that he comes off almost like Slick Willy. Like he could sell bagged ice to Eskimos. There’s a REASON why Cruz just hangs at around 6%. And I’m beginning to think that’s why.
There’s also the fact that he’s a sitting senator and a Washington insider. In today’s political climate, being even a little bit of a DC insider is like being a little bit pregnant. But the biggie, to my mind, is the lingering fact of those several unfortunate, ill advised, typical politician-type votes Cruz made. Votes that make him appear to be an Obama-ite, in the mold of Lindsey Graham or John McCain.
It will take one or two Trump terms, of Cruz still as a senator, or in some other capacity, studiously, consistently doing the RIGHT things, to live that down, everything else being equal. But now that Cruz has apparently tossed a turd into the punch bowl, by beating his chest about how he’s going to replace Trump at the top, all bets are off. The outcome from THAT will depend upon how Trump responds. All I know is, “You don’t tug on Superman’s cape. You don’t spit into the wind. You don’t pull the mask off the Lone Ranger......”
You MAY be right about his needing to get noticed. But as bright as Cruz is, he surely could have dreamt up a better way to get some attention than to figuratively “soap Trump’s windows, TP his magnolia tree, and turpentine his favorite cat!
Cruz has a far lower ceiling than Trump. Cruz lacks a broader appeal. He is a niche candidate.
Cruz is the smartest and most articulate candidate in both parties, but that is not what wins elections. For the LIVs who make up the overwhelming majority of voters, there must be an emotional and visceral connection. Cruz doesn't have it, especially for the general election.
“I also think he staged all these battles on the floor of the Senate to try and boost his status as an outsider who stands up to the DC cartel...”
Note that he did not grandstand TPA or the Corker bill. He does that AFTER he voted for them.
Yes, and per chance this generation might be the one to see that happen. Sad, is it not? Fault of this generation or past, WTP should all be more involved in politics and attempting to understand that only THIS stands between our way of life and total annihilation of human life. In God we trust. Amen WAKE UP AMERICA!!
Still early and he is keeping all that money out of Carson’s and maybe Fiorina’s hands.
I’m SWORN to secrecy.
I would hazard to say that given Ted’s visibility and the fact that he’s engaged in joint appearances with the would be candidate from NYC that his openly stated opinion of the would be candidate from NYC ..henceforth referred to here as TWBCFNYC that he must know something that is not yet common knowledge.
For the LIVs who make up the overwhelming majority of voters, there must be an emotional and visceral connection.
Cruz doesn't have it, especially for the general election.
Without connecting with voter's viscera, no one wins the general.
Well put.
A Bush versus Clinton race would lack that voter connection, but there would be a winner.
The dem snake will find it easy, as the libs don't have a visceral connectivity, they merely want to win at any and all costs.("Those are our planes now").
R's generally do a little siftin', and many don't show up as a protest, in their minds (rightly or wrongly) being more important than who's planes they are.
However, if a candidate presents himself, that does indeed connect viscerally, they get the population under the bell and probably one std deviation on either side, and most of the people on their side of the curve.
