DEVELOPING: Spencer Stone, one of the three Americans hailed a hero in the French train attack in August, is in stable condition after being stabbed near Sacramento, a senior Pentagon official told Fox News.
The Air Force Times reported that Stone was stabbed four times in the chest early Thursday.
"A1C Spencer Stone has been transported to a local hospital, and is currently being treated for injury," an Air Force spokesman said, according to the report. "The incident is currently under investigation by local law enforcement."
Details of the stabbing early Thursday are unclear. A reporter for ABC 10 tweeted that police are looking for one suspect in the stabbing.
A senior Pentagon official said Stone was stabbed during a bar fight. Fox 40 reported that police are investigating a stabbing that occurred at around 1:30 a.m. In that case, a group of men were leaving a bar and a fight ensued. One man was stabbed in the upper torso, the report said, without naming the victim.

He is a current contestant on Dancing With the Stars and didn’t enroll in college this semester. Therefore, he was in California rather than Oregon at the time of the massacre.
Actually, he was enrolled, and would have been taking classes in that very building.
His step mother works there.
