My wife's family is from the Quarter and we lived there recently until the crime was just too much.
In fact, the tenants who rent the house were held up on Barracks and Royal .
Then when I read about all the patrons getting robbed at one of our favorite places in the Garden .Its a relief to be back in a sleepy beach town.
Yeah it was pretty bad before Katrina but now that the government has fixed it up......well,,,,You know the track record.
And all the cockroaches have returned from Houston, now that it’s all fixed up....errr...repaired.
