For every reason why gas prices should fall and stay down, there are over 25 reasons why the prices “will necessarily skyrocket.”
Another thing happening at this time is this switchover to heating oil production from gasoline production. With the end of driving season and the onset of winter, consuming public will be buying less gasoline and more heating oil for the next six months. Happens every year about this time...although many of our correspondents here are completely gobsmacked with surprise each October, like it didn’t happen last year, or the year before that, or the year before that.
