Putin’s so-called “Holy War” is a lot more like “Control the Mediterranean War.”

Russia does not have the capacity or geography to control the Med.

At the height of the Russian Empire, or the Soviet Union, they were a minor player.

But with an air/sea/land bridge through the Caspian...across northern Iran and Iraq, all the way to Latakia/Tartus they've come up several notches.

Now, now . . . don’t be injecting common sense here. This thread is about McCain.

And our controlling the Med has gotten us what rewards exactly?

Look if somebody, anybody kills off the servants of Islam in large numbers; our only question should be how many bombs do you need?

If Israel or our other allies (those that are left) are not threatened directly by Russian action and indeed approve of it...then we should join up or shut up. Our need to be involved in that region (other than killing as many sons of Obama as we can) has long since passed.

We need them for NOTHING!!!!!
