Just Watched Trump on Special Report with Bret Baier (vanity)

Posted on 10/06/2015 3:22:51 PM PDT by RoosterRedux

He was incredibly good. Gave specifics, was strong, was presidential.

And what energy!

I will post a video when it hits youtube.

It's important to know his faith. He unabashedly identifies himself as a Christian.

He says he has never asked for forgiveness. That doesn't line up with my understanding of the Word.

But does your understanding of the Word trump defending the nation from becoming a third world hell hole through mass amnesty and the stripping of our industry to be sent to foreign countries?

I agree with your post, and I think Trump could do the job.

It is concerning, however, to see so many FReepers unwilling to take a critical view of a candidate who has no track record of governing or legislating. We truly don’t know where he stands or how he thinks. As far as I can tell, he has no consistent philosophy.

After tonight, we do know where he stands on big business using eminent domain.

No candidate is perfect, and that includes Trump. We’re better off if we know him better. The virtual coronation is disturbing.

I cannot disagree with you. If we do not get a handle on that we will not be America anymore. We will just be among the masses in the world, wondering why our children have nothing more than bread and water and that only at the good graces of some tyrant.

In a Word? Yes. There is nothing more important than salvation to me.

I agree. There are more pressing issues than eminent domain, which is more a theoretical threat than an immediate one.

I, too, appreciate Trump for highlighting the immigration issue. He’s been very good for the race.

But, while he’s absolutely right on immigration, I need to know if I can trust him on other issues. Watching.

No one is preventing anyone from owning property. They are asked to sell what they have, for fair value, so that the lives of everyone in the area can be improved...roads and schools or commerce which brings jobs. Individuals or developers do not impose imminent domain, cities, states do. They do it in order to build roads, schools, hospitals, libraries...anything and everything that is a gov’t function. Cities also have agencies that are geared toward economic development. Those agencies use imminent domain to acquire property for those purposes. These agencies DO pay a fair price for property, however they do not pay a huge over value price because if they did we would never have a road or a hospital etc. When they acquire property for these purposes it is YOUR money they are using to buy these properties. You cannot hold a developer up as a tyrant for using property a city has made available to them to do with what they wanted to be done. Also you might want to ask how much the KOCH brothers use imminent domain for all their pipelines....it IS extensive. Don’t be lead around by the media, their only desire is to deceive you.

Generally such property is for commercial purposes which equal economic development that a city/state is promoting...and which btw brings jobs.

How about if that property will be used for a school. You will be paying for it, do you want them to get a fair price, which is often above market value or do you want them to get a really good price, which is going to up the cost of every road, bridge, school, courthouse, etc etc...in the country.

You might as well not waste your time trying to defend property seizure to me.

Not your place to judge him, God’s in charge there.

The only part you have in this little drama is to vote or not vote for the man. Since you’re obviously for option #2, I’m done here.

Yeah, pouring all that hard-earned donor cash right down the drain. Of course Carly has a rep for mismanaging money so that shouldn't shock her benefactors.

You already judged him to be a Christian. Now it's up to God? I believe that to be true but when someone tells me he has never asked for forgiveness, I have to question his commitment.

I actually like Trump far more than I did at first. When he entered the race I was blown away at his brashness and he was bold. I would chuckle at how unafraid he was to just say what he thinks.(I was thinking a lot of what he was saying) I worried about that brashness because people on our side are so used to mealy mouthed politician types.

He was rough cut, but good grief, he is sharp and has really kicked his delivery up a notch. He is a quick learner, tremendous energy and is a really good planner. He delivers what he has promised. His policy papers have come out as he promised too.

Truth is he takes a lot more crap than any of the others so I don’t mind it anymore when he gets a few jollies dishing out and exposing that cabal of primped up pundit phonies and biased media trash.

His rallies are exciting and fun. We have had some great threads watching his rallies. People get piumped and for the first time in many years people get to cheer in realville.

We have been so conditioned to the GOP bowl of dry puffed rice white glove goobers picked as our candidates that we have forgotten what a fighter has to be. McCain was just nasty and stupid. That is not a fighter.

I really like it now. Hope Trump keeps getting even better and stays safe.

‘Some pigs are more equal-Animal Farm’

A very apt use of the quote.

Well if you are going to call it property seizure then you clearly don’t understand or you have a piece of cheat grass in your sock and you are determined to be ticked off over something that you have no call to be ticked off about.
