There were reports of this sort of thing going on in the Occupy Wall Street camps, I recall. Including written instructions being passed around NOT to go to the cops if it happened because it would undermine the movement.

There was a 3 year old child who washed up on the shore in Boston Harbor. The police finally tracked down the mother and arrested her along with her boyfriend. The boyfriend was not the father. The father was a guy the mother met in a tent in the Boston Occupy Wall St protest. That guy fled when he found out the mother had been a arrested as a prostitute.
