TYou fail to grasp it is not an either/or situation, and that Putin and Russia are using the Caliphate and Syria as opportunities to cause more mischief. The Caliphate must be eliminated, but that does not give Russia a free hand to manipulate public opinion to also attack the enemies of the Caliphate while trying to play innocent.
It looks like Russia’s hands are quite free to do as they please. I see nothing happening so far worthy of the American lives it would take to restrain them.
Which enemies of the Caliphate are they attacking?
The Free Syrian Army? When did they start fighting against ISIS, and are they really against a Caliphate or just looking to be the ones in charge?
Is Russia attacking the Kurds? If that is happening I haven’t heard about it. The Kurds might be worth standing up for.
