It’s always puzzled me why inner-city high school teams rarely have a competent kicker. I realize that black kids don’t typically play soccer so they don’t learn that style, but it’s not that hard for a good athlete to be a good enough straight-on kicker to make extra points. Yet most of the teams I have seen don’t even try to kick extra points, they just go for 2 every time. Is kicking considered a white skill to be shunned?

Well maybe if the goalposts were lower, they could “dunk” the ball for the extra point.
